CHC Wants To Add Telehealth To Access More Patients

Telehealth is becoming the new norm in the health care field, especially now during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

It’s a newer form of medical care that allows patients to video conference with their physicians, send images or test results online, and use apps to track treatment without having to show up in-person at medical offices.

These technologies hold the promise to significantly improve the most challenging issues in our health care system: access to more patients, cost effective delivery of services, and expanded distribution of medical providers.

Sometime soon, Community Health Center of West Palm is hoping to add telehealth as part of a way to serve the community’s poor and vulnerable patients.

Our organization is now raising funds to add telehealth to our services.

For our population, telehealth would help us reach more patients who can’t travel to our clinic in West Palm Beach. Many of our patients would also likely use it because it is convenient and saves time and money.

In addition, telehealth can help control the spread of highly contagious diseases, since it allows patients to stay home, avoiding contact with other people while still getting necessary treatment by being in contact with their doctors.

Help us bring telehealth to Community Health Center.
